Are there any other fees that I need to be aware of?

Every Caribbean country charges due diligence fees to cover the cost of performing high level due diligence on each applicant. The due diligence fee for a main applicant ranges from US$5,000 to US$10,000, and the due diligence fee for each dependant aged 16 or over ranges from US$4,000 to US$7,500.

There is usually no due diligence fee for any minor dependant. Some, but not all, Caribbean countries charge processing fees and application fees, and some include bank transaction fees and VAT. In some jurisdictions enhanced due diligence fees are required for applicants of certain nationalities. Grenada is the only country to levy fees on spouses of main applicants even when they are not included in a Citizenship by Investment (CBI) application.

Payment of a government fee is required by all applicants who choose the real estate investment route. However, Antigua and Barbuda charges government processing fees on both direct monetary contributions and real estate investments. In Antigua and Barbuda, ten per cent of these fees are payable upon submission and are non-refundable.
