What is the role of an Authorised Agent in the CBI process?

Authorised Agents

A list of all Authorised Agents is available on each country’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) website.

All Caribbean CBI countries require applicants to apply through an Authorised Agent.

Authorised Agents are responsible for providing applicants with consultancy and advisory services in relation to their country’s CBI programme, as well as acting on behalf of applicants in relation to their CBI applications.

Sub Agent/Promoter

A sub-agent or promoter is usually an entity that has entered a contractual relationship with an Authorised Agent. It acts as a bridge between the applicant and its Authorised Agent.

A sub-agent works with its Authorised Agent to remain up to date with the latest programme requirements and often will be the first filter in a multi-layered process of due diligence checks.
