Application Updates: Grenada and St Kitts and Nevis

This article alerts you to recent updates in the application processes of Grenada and St Kitts and Nevis and the benefits of the countries’ citizenship by investment programme.

Grenada

In an effort to streamline its citizenship by investment application process, Grenada now accepts applications submitted in two separate stages:

  1. The pre-submission stage
  2. The submission completion stage

How does this update benefit me?

Documents submitted as part of a citizenship by investment application must not expire before three months from the date of submission. Gathering the required supporting documents can often take time, as a result, a requirement to submit a complete application file in a single stage can give rise to the risk of certain documents expiring before all the documents have been gathered. Submitting in two stages is therefore helpful for applicants with some documents that are close to expiration.

Submitting in two stages can also help to speed up application processing times. This is because due diligence can be commenced upon submission of the pre-submission stage documents, resulting in a faster turnaround for applicants.

St Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis now allows fees to be paid and contributions to be made to the Sustainable Growth Fund via a Service Provider cheque.

How does this update benefit me?

Previously, fees and contributions were required to be made directly to the Government’s account at the St Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank. Now, however, more flexibility is afforded to applicant’s acquiring citizenship through a contribution to the Sustainable Growth Fund.
