How to fly to St Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts is easily reached from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, and other Caribbean islands. Robert L.Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) in St Kitts is how most US travellers arrive in St Kitts and Nevis. From there, Nevis Island is just a domestic flight away.

Cape Air returns to Nevis.

Excitingly, Cape Air recently recommenced operations at Nevis’ Vance W. Amory International Airport (VAIA).

Cape Air will be providing Nevis with air access to major United States airline flights via a convenient connection at St Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Travellers can now enjoy the option of booking a ticket directly from US cities via any of these airlines:

  • American Airlines
  • Delta
  • JetBlue and
  • United Airlines.

The inaugural flight from St Thomas, United States Virgin Islands took place on 15 February 2023.

Six passengers flew on a Cessna 402 nine-seater plane and, upon landing, were greeted by a magnificent masquerade troupe on the tarmac. Also there to greet them were Honourable Eric Evelyn,Deputy  Premier of Nevis and Mr. Devon Liburd the CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority.

“The US Virgin Islands is also an important link to Nevis as scores of Nevisians reside there and are always looking for ways of getting home. So in my opinion it’s a win, win, and win for Nevis. Tourism on Nevis will benefit, Cape Air as an airline will benefit, the residents of Nevis will benefit and of course we also include the residents of St. Kitts and the US Virgin Islands who will also benefit,” says the Honourable Evelyn.

Mr Liburd said the launch of the Cape Air service is an exciting time for Nevis as it will increase access to the island as a connection point from the US and the USVI.

He thanked other stakeholders including the Nevis government, Nevis Air and Sea Ports Authority (NASPA), Ministry of Tourism, and Ministry of Finance for their critical roles in making the airline’s return a reality.
