St Kitts and Nevis Reopens Borders to International Visitors

On October 31st, St Kitts and Nevis will reopen its borders, for the first time since March, to international visitors. The dual-island nation has only reported 19 confirmed cases of the virus, all of which have now recovered, and zero deaths.

Chief Medical Officer, Hazel Laws, revealed some of the ways St Kitts and Nevis is preparing for borders reopening including in-service training, prepping hospitals and ensuring all health personnel are aware of the guidelines. St Kitts and Nevis is one of the few nations least impacted by the virus so tourists who visit must have a negative RT-PCR test 72 hours before departure. The dual-island nation relies heavily on its tourism sector, however it has utilised funds generated under its Citizenship by Investment Programme to keep the country afloat.
